How to type i tilde (ĩ)

Windows

Hold Alt and type 297 on the numeric keypad.

Option + N, then I

Ctrl + Shift + ~, then i — or type 0129 then Alt + X

Insert → Special characters → i tilde

Click the keycap, then paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.

Num Lock on, hold Alt, type 297, release Alt.
