How to type y circumflex (ŷ)

Hold Alt and type 375 on the numeric keypad.

Option + I, then Y

Ctrl + Shift + 6, then y — or type 0177 then Alt + X

Insert → Special characters → y circumflex

Click the keycap, then paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.

Num Lock on, hold Alt, type 375, release Alt.
