How to type E acute (É)

Copy the character, or use the shortcut that matches your keyboard and app.

Windows

Hold Alt and type 0201 on the numeric keypad.

Option + E, then E

Ctrl + ', then e — or type 00C9 then Alt + X

Insert → Special characters → E acute

Click the keycap, then paste with Ctrl+V or Cmd+V.

Num Lock on, hold Alt, type 0201, release Alt.
